Cure Acne Naturally With Inexpensive and Effective Remedies

Acne is especially prevalent during the teenage years when eruptions of pimples, whiteheads and blackheads tend to erupt on the skin of the face, neck, arms and ears. If left untreated, acne can cause permanent scarring in addition to lowering the self-confidence and esteem of the acne-affected patient who becomes self-conscious due to these unsightly flair-ups. The good news is that there are effective inexpensive proven remedies that can help cure acne naturally.

One of the most effective acne treatments, tea tree oil, comes from a tree in Australia. Applying tea tree oil to an acne outbreak acts as an anti-bacterial agent to help get rid of acne.

Another natural cure for acne comes from the aloe vera plant which you can grow right on your kitchen window sill.

Break off a leaf from this plant and apply the clear gel you find inside to help get rid of acne.

There is another healing remedy from the garden that helps reduce acne. Fresh peppermint leaves, finely minced and pounded with a pestle to produce juice, makes a natural poultice. Apply this mixture to the face or affected area and leave on for five to ten minutes, then rinse with cool water.

Another good natural facial that's an effective acne treatment is a facial mask prepared from cooled and cooked plain oatmeal mixed with a little honey. Apply to the acne area and let dry prior to rinsing off with warm water.

For an inexpensive natural medicine to apply to acne outbreaks, mix equal parts of freshly squeezed lemon juice with rose water, which you can find at the supermarket in the ethnic foods section. Pat on with a cotton ball, allow this to dry, then rinse with cool water.

Committing to a diet that includes certain food choices is a very effective way to naturally cure acne. Eat at least five to seven servings daily of fresh fruits and vegetables, including garlic which is a very effective immune system booster and anti-bacterial fighter. Foods rich in fiber and omega 3 fatty oils are also beneficial while fighting acne. Be sure you are drinking at least glasses of water daily, too, because skin is at its healthiest when it is well hydrated.

Getting rid of acne can be challenging, but if you use natural remedies on a regular basis, your ability to reduce acne or even cure your acne outright is greatly increased.
